The City of San Bruno is excited to announce enhancements to MyGovernmentOnline (MGO), our Online Permitting system.  MyGovernmentOnline uses a customer portal (MGO Connect) designed with feedback from contractors and residents who are using the system across the country to allow users to apply for permits, track the status of an application, as well as submit and receive documents and information from the City.

Visit MGO Connect and click on "New Account" to get started.  If you have signed up for MyGovernmentOnline previously, you can login with the same e-mail address and password that you are currently using with the MyGovernmentOnline (MGO).

In addition to the web-based platform, MGO Connect offers a mobile app that can be downloaded onto your mobile device. Go to the Apple App Store or the Google Play store for Android devices and search ‘MGO Connect’ to download the app to your mobile device.

We want to encourage all contractors, residents, and other potential MyGovernmentOnline MGO Connect customer portal users to create an account at your earliest convenience.

As of July 1st, you will need to have an account with MyGovernmentOnline to apply for permits.

We are certain you will appreciate the functionality of the MyGovernmentOnline MGO Connect customer portal.  The enhancements include:

  • A simpler online application submittal experience that is easier to navigate.
  • The ability to apply for a permit anytime, anywhere. In the vast majority of cases, there will be no need to visit City Hall.
  • Being able to securely pay for a permit via the portal and receive your permit and job card online.
  • The capability to view the progress of your project with a modernized “Tasks List” feature indicating the current project stage as well as any incomplete and completed tasks.
  • Being able to see what inspections are required, and schedule inspections via the MGO Connect customer portal or the app.
  • An informational landing page where San Bruno can share important messages through the customer portal.
  • A condensed ‘Projects’ list that allows you to view your pending applications as well as permits that are in progress from a single location.
  • Useful Maps and Graphical interfaces.
  • Simple “I Want To…” feature where you can quickly Pay Fees, Print Receipts, Print Permits, Request Inspections, and more.
