Volunteer
Library volunteers support, supplement, and enrich the Library’s efforts to serve the community.
Requirements: 14 years old or older; Fill out a volunteer application; Submit a clear TB test within the last 2 years; Attend a volunteer training; Dedicate a minimum of 2 hours per month; Be able to work with children and others
Currently accepting volunteers for the following positions:
The Homework Center is a free, drop-in space for students to do homework or get help, Monday through Thursday. Volunteers assist students for 2 hours per week.
Reading Buddies is a Saturday program where children read one-on-one with a teen volunteer to build skills and confidence. Volunteers commit to 2 hours per month.
Makerspace is a Friday program where participants of all ages work on hands-on projects like 3D printing and Cricut crafts with support from volunteers and library staff. Volunteers commit to 2 hours per month.

In addition to volunteer opportunities within the Library, the Friends of the San Bruno Public Library is seeking people who can dedicate a few hours per week on an ongoing long term basis. Contact the Friends at SanBrunoFriends@aol.com to see how you can help. Current opportunities with the Friends include delivering children's books to the Little Library sites, publicity and scanning books.
