Trees in front of buildingThe City of San Bruno ensures safety through the maintenance of all streets, parks, facility landscapes, and open space trees. The Community Services Department also provides maintenance of all landscaped medians throughout the City.

The City of San Bruno has contracted with West Coast Arborist to prune City-owned street trees. City street trees are pruned on a four-year cycle to ensure the structural integrity and health of the trees. West Coast Arborists may be pruning trees in front of your property over the coming months. For a list of the trees scheduled for pruning, please visit our Tree Pruning page.

Pruning activities occur between 8 am and 4 pm "No Parking" signs will be posted in the areas where work is to be performed so crews can have safe access to the work area. Once the work is completed the "No Parking" signs will be removed. A door hanger will also be placed on the front doors' of homes where street will be pruned advising residents of upcoming tree work.
