Affordable Housing Inclusionary, Residential Impact Fee & Commercial Linkage Fee Requirements
On November 22, 2016, the City Council adopted updates to San Bruno Municipal Code Chapter 12.230 Affordable Housing Program, which included updated regulations related to affordable housing requirements, including affordable housing inclusionary requirements for on-site construction, residential impact fees, and commercial linkage fees.

San Bruno's 2015-2023 Housing Element was adopted by the City Council on April 14, 2015 and certified by the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) July 30, 2015.
The City regularly updates its housing and land-use strategies to reflect changing needs and resources as well as state law requirements for developing and preserving an adequate supply of housing, including housing affordable to seniors, families, and workers.
